  • Booked as a last minute choice and were very impressed. The staff were very knowledgeable, and safety was a prime concern. The boats held only 20 or so which made for smaller groups in the water which was great. I agree the guides were constantly trying to keep swimmers close by, but you need to realize you are in the open sea,and depending on winds and currents there is a danger! Xel-ha has much less risk and a more controlled environment-hence no need for a guide. For those who complained about bio sunscreen they should realize this is a requirement on most Mexican reefs and at Xel-ha. It should not be a surprise for travellers to Mexico. I would definitely recommend this tour. Excellent value. Traveller 5561 Otawa.-Tripadvisor.
